Admission and Visa process
Step 1:
At Rio Overseas, students are encouraged to apply directly to their preferred university and course before the application deadline. Students in their final semester or year of their current degree or school are eligible to apply. Depending on their preference, students can apply directly to the university or college, or they can choose to apply through an authorized agent of the institute.
Step 2:
Your application will be assessed based on your qualifications, academic grades, and English language scores. If you are accepted, you will receive a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) directly from the processing office or university.
Step 3:
Once you receive the Letter of Acceptance (LOA), you'll need to fulfill all the requirements outlined in it. This includes paying at least one semester's fees and beginning preparations for your visa application.
Step 4:
To apply for your visa, you can submit your application online or through the nearest Canadian Embassy or Visa Facilitation Service center. The processing time for your application depends on your country of application. It's important to apply well in advance before your intended intake to allow enough time for all formalities to be completed. While a visa interview is not always mandatory, if requested, it's essential to attend. The embassy may advise you on this after you submit your application.
Step 5:
You can expect a decision on your application within 1 to 2 months of submission. Some colleges offering SPP programs may provide decisions within 1 to 2 weeks. Once your student visa is approved, start planning for your move. Be sure to arrive on the reporting date specified in your Letter of Acceptance (LOA). It's recommended to arrive in the country a week or two before your joining date.
